Estate Agency Articles

How long will the whole legal process take ?
This is our most frequently asked question and sadly, there is no easy answer as it depends on so many factors. The most straightforward kind of sale is of an empty property to a cash buyer. This would probably take about 6 weeks to complete (from instruction to when the property legally changes hands). If the buyer needs a mortgage, this could add a couple of weeks to the process. If the seller is also buying a property, this could add another couple of weeks and perhaps even longer if there is a larger chain of connected sales. Further time delays could result from missing documentation, slow weavering solicitors and slow buyers and sellers. An average completion time is about 10 weeks.
Communication
Too many estate agents only communicate good news which is quite easy to do.

A good estate agent will be in frequent contact with their clients and will not be short in advising you if anything needs to be done to improve your chances of achieving an effective sale transaction.

Ensure that the estate agent you choose to represent you in the weavering area is good at communicating.
