Is local best?

There are no aspects to conveyancing that require you to be physically present during the process. Documents can be signed then faxed or put in the post. All other communication can be done by telephone or email. Most national conveyancers provide excellent case tracking facilities, and will keep you up-to-date with progress. The national conveyancers are highly experienced, and will usually cost far less than using a local firm.
What do Conveyancers do?
The conveyancer acts on behalf of either the buyer or seller and represents their interests in the purchase or sale of a property. The conveyancer will ensure that the terms and conditions of the contract for sale are fair and reasonable and will check that all financial information is correct.
The conveyancing process will vary according to whether they are acting for the buyer or the selling party.
