Make sure you have some slack and flexibility in your schedule an finances for unforeseen delays!How you can help speed up the conveyancing process
Although many factors will be out of your control, you could consider the following:
- Inform your estate agent that you have appointed somebody to act for you as soon as possible and pass the agent those contact details.
- Get confirmation that the other party has instructed a solicitor through your estate agent.
- Pay over any search fees and similar monies requested by the conveyancer as soon as you can.
- Provide your mortgage account number to the conveyancer as soon as you can.
- Return any acceptance forms or similar to your lender as soon as possible.
- Inform all parties if you are think that you may be difficult to contact at any time during the completion stages (holiday etc).
