Although you may be confident that you're more than capable of managing the sale of your own property, the truth of the matter is that many of us have precious little spare time. Ask yourself the question whether it is be better to select an estate agency in London that is owned and operated by experts who are concerned with the sale of your property as opposed to those who are basically working as part of a large business expansion exercise? Be certain that you are fully able to correspond at Director or Partner level within the firm should you want to.
Estate Agents Charge Rates Explained
The vast majority of property sellers are unaware of the disparate rates of commission that London estate agents will charge to sell your property. It is a known fact that not all London estate agencies charge the same rates of commission and there is a good reason for this - so don't make your choice of agent based on price alone. A number of London estate agents may quote you their standard prices but evaluating your house, could arrive at the conclusion that the property may be more troublesome to sell than their usual properties because it is in an undesirable area or bad state of repair warranting more marketing costs and sales effort. on the other hand, other estate agents may quote a lower than usual commission if they conclude that they can move your house easily and with great speed. A number of London agents simply do not suffer with the running costs of larger agencies who have invested heavily in town centre branches, top-level staff training, complex computer software and top-of-the-range marketing materials and resources. That's not to imply that low cost commission rates will deliver cut-down customer service and professional standards because one can on occasion experience inadequacies when employing larger chain firms too. Cut price London agents typically need a larger turnover of stock to trade profitably and they are as a consequence far less likely to be concerned with regards to securing the best price for their customers. The final amount of the post-sale proceeds in your pocket is clearly of greater importance than the percentage fee your London estate agent has invoiced you in commission costs.
